Where Are You Going, Where contain You Been - establish ExampleThe story describes Connie as a young and beautiful girl who grows up in the suburbia in the years between 1960. During this period, the author describes there were few beautiful girls who would be determined to find out their beauty to the entire society. Although the young girls were beautiful, most of the parents opted for their daughter to remain indoors.Joyce Carol Oates the author of the story, Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been illustrates that since Connie was young, she spend most of her time in front of a mirror confirming her beauty. Although June was the eldest of the two, one would mistake Connie to be the first-born. June was older at the age of twenty-four and still lived with the parents. June was innocent and never made any chafe to the family as Connie did to the rest of the family. June always listen to her mothers words and followed every instruction given.
